Experience Science...
Hands On

What We Offer
At Arches Homestead Academy, we believe that kids need to experience science hands-on to develop a love for it. That's why we offer various hands-on biology classes for kids of all ages. Our classes are taught by a practicing physician and designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun while providing valuable knowledge and skills.
This course is geared for elementary students 2nd-6th grade and walks through taxonomy, the system of classification in biology. Students will learn the 6 Kingdoms and study the relationship of these organisms in the ecosystem.
Taught by an emergency physician and geared for Middle and High school, 7-12th graders can discover all of the amazing ways our bodies work to keep us healthy. This course covers cell anatomy, DNA and genetics and the major body systems through hands on experiments, dissections, and “medical minutes” to discuss disease and medical interventions.
Learn about some unique critters of the animal kingdom and their anatomy. Courses include dissecting a squid, shark, frog and fetal pig. Students can sign up for a single class, or the whole summer package.
Have our instructor come to your club, school, co-op or event. Either in-person within the DFW area or through Zoom, Arches can provide one-time instruction for your classroom. Classes typically range between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on age and subject and all dissection supplies will be provided by Arches.
